<br />WHERAS, the Village of Elk River has heretofor acquired certain real estate situated in the Country <br />of Sherburne and State of Minnesota and described as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />That part of Government Lot Three (3) of Section Three (3), Township Thirty-two (32), Range <br />Twenty-six (26) described as follows: Commencing at a point on the North line of said Section <br />Three (3) distant 2057 feet West of the Northeast (NE) corner thereof, run Southeasterly at an angle <br />of 550 18’ with said North Section line for a distance of 2025.7 feet; thence deflect to the right at an <br />included angle of 76 degrees 15’ with the line just described to the Northeasterly right-of-way line of <br />U.S. Highway 10 as now locaed, and which point is the point of beginning of the line of the land to <br />be described; thence back Northeasterly 200 feet along the line just described; thence left 90 degrees <br />Northwesterly 200 feet; thence left 90 degrees Southwesterly to intersection with Northeasterly <br />right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 10 as now located; thence Southeasterly along said Highway right- <br />of-way to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />For purposes of a site for a proposed sewage disposal plant, which site contains approximately One <br />(1) acre of land and is located outside of the corporate limits of said Village and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the physical and topographical limitations of this site would increase the cost of <br />construction of any such proposed sewage disposal plant according to engineers who have <br />investigated this problem and, <br /> <br />WHEREA, a various selectino of other possible sites for sid sewage disposal plant are available with <br />as good or better topographical and physical limitations for such use and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said premises will serve no other useful purpose for the Village of Elk River, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said premises herein-before described are no <br />longer needed for corporate purposes for a site for a sewage disposal plant, or otherwise, and that <br />the offer of the Rural Cooperative Power Association to purchase said premises for the sum of Two <br />Thousand Two Hundred $2200.00) Dollars, this being the highest offer received by this body to <br />date, be accepted and the mayor and clerk be and hereby are authorized and directed to exercute in <br />the corporate name of the Village of Elk River and transfer of title of said premises to the Rural <br />Cooperative Association for the consideration hereinbefore specified. <br /> <br />Resolution unanimously adopted. <br /> <br />Mayor <br />Attest: Village Clerk <br /> <br />
