A feasibility report was completed and found the 88 homes in the HOA could <br />connect to the city system by running a new sewer line along Ranch Road from their existing shared drainage field <br />to the force main currently being constructed along the Great Northern Trail. <br /> <br />This project is proposed to be assessed to the benefiting properties and therefore, has followed the MS 429 <br />Special Assessment process. <br /> <br />An Improvement Hearing was held on September 8, 2020, where residents were given the opportunity to speak. <br /> <br />The plans and specifications have been publicly advertised for bid with a bid opening date of October 5, 2020. <br />Bid results will be available at the council meeting if requested. <br /> <br />The final hearing in the MS 429 Special Assessment process is to hold a public hearing on the proposed <br />assessment at which time those assessed properties will be given the opportunity to speak. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />NA <br /> <br />Mission/Policy/Goal <br />Long Term: Extend sanitary sewer service area to the north. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> Resolution Calling for a Hearing <br /> <br />The Elk River Vision <br />A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional <br /> <br />service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires prosperity. <br /> Updated: August 2020 <br />
