<br />Request for Action <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council 9.3 <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Work Session September 21, 2020 Amanda Erickson, Environmental Coordinator <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />LORE Project Budget Brandon Wisner, Stormwater Coordinator <br />Reviewed by <br />Cal Portner, City Administrator <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Provide direction regarding Lake Orono Restoration and Enhancement (LORE) project and budget. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />New Look Contracting Inc. was awarded the bid for the project for $2,117,140.00 on September 8, 2020. <br /> <br />The lake drawdown was completed on September 15. Staff continues to work with WSB & Associates for overall <br />project management. <br /> <br />The project budget was approved at $3.25 million with $1.5 million in state grant funding, $1 million from Active <br />Elk River and the remaining portion paid by adjacent lakeshore property owners. Estimated assessment costs were <br />discussed with City Council as part of the LORE Feasibility Summary on May 15, 2020.
