Fences <br /> City0f <br /> Elk <br /> River i <br /> Section 30-796 outlines fencing requirements <br /> General Requirements <br /> ■ Fences shall be located entirely upon the private property of the person constructing or causing <br /> the construction of such fence unless the owner of the adjoining property agrees,in writing,that <br /> such fence may be erected on the division line of the respective properties <br /> ■ When the fence cannot be placed on the property line,the fence should be set back adequately <br /> enough for the property owner of the fence to construct and maintain both sides of the fence, <br /> without being on the adjoining property <br /> ■ Fences may not be located in road right-of-ways <br /> Height Restrictions <br /> ■ In any zone,no fencing or landscaping taller than 24" shall be allowed in a vision clearance <br /> triangle (see Image 7) <br /> ■ Vision clearance triangle means the area of a corner lot bounded by the right-of-way lines and a <br /> line connecting the two points on the property lines 30 feet from the intersection of the <br /> property lines <br /> ■ No fence in a residential zone, other than retaining walls, shall be higher than six (6) feet in <br /> height unless the adjoining lot is a non-residential zone,in which case,the fence shall not exceed <br /> eight (8) feet <br /> ■ No fence in a non-resident zone, other than retaining walls, shall be higher than eight (8) feet in <br /> height <br /> VISION TRIA.NG�E <br /> �\ Wa <br /> Image 1 <br />
