Worker background checks and badging <br />Construction security cameras <br />Job site security walk through / checklist <br />at the end of every day <br />Disruption Avoidance with Continuous Occupancy <br />Coordinating the operations of an existing facility <br />during construction involves several critical <br />elements: <br />The Existing Operations <br />During the design phase of the project, Terra <br />will meet with the City and the user groups to <br />review their program of activities, schedule <br />of events and any specific utilities that are <br />required to be operational during construction. <br />This includes understanding: <br />• Room ventilation needs <br />Power requirements for equipment <br />Temperature and dust sensitive areas and <br />other elements specific to the project <br />scope <br />The Existing As -Built Drawings of the Facility <br />We will review the existing drawings of Fire <br />Station #2 and the Police Department Squad <br />Garage to understand all the mechanical and <br />electrical systems. In doing so, we will also <br />evaluate the location of operations that need to <br />be maintained. <br />The Site Logistics <br />Terra has prepared a preliminary site logistics <br />plan for each project site (see pages 31-33). <br />These plans incorporate the logistics of when <br />specific activities can begin and end to ensure <br />the sequence of construction does not disrupt <br />the operations of the adjacent facilities. <br />Prior to construction, Terra would update <br />this logistics plan as needed. We will work <br />closely with the City of Elk River and the <br />stakeholders to schedule all activities related <br />to hoisting, rubbish removal, parking and <br />deliveries. Removals and deliveries will also be <br />coordinated to coincide with requested hours <br />based on size, access and other constraints to <br />ensure limited or no disruption. <br />Terra will coordinate the staging of all activities <br />with subcontractors. We will take measures to <br />protect areas not under construction in their current <br />phase and provide safety signage so occupants of <br />the building are well informed and safe.
