Dickinson <br />Division Performance Measures & Goals for 2021 <br />Division Goal Goal Objective/Task <br />Review and assess the 2013-2017 Strategic plan. <br />Determine if goals and objectives have been met and <br />are still applicable. Start a new five year strategic plan to <br />begin 2021. <br />Continue to develop and enhance current and future <br />leaders of the organization <br />Monitor the newly implemented Officer Development <br />Program to ensure we are meeting the goals of <br />developing our current firefighters into future officers and <br />leaders. <br />Meet the increased training needs of an all hazards <br />response fire department. <br />This goal is outstanding from the 2013-2017 Strategic <br />Plan adopted by Council and has been a goal for the <br />department every year. There is a need for a re- <br />organization at the management level to ensure that <br />goals and objectives for the fire department are met. <br />Enhance the fire prevention/public education program to <br />include a community risk reduction program <br />Expand the reach of the public information program to <br />include a more diverse population to protect our <br />community members, stakeholders, and department <br />members. Develop and implement a community risk <br />reduction program to enhance community outreach. <br />Continue the growth and success of the Elk River Fire <br />Academy program. <br />Utilize the Fire Academy for the continued development <br />of our current and future firefighters. Also, continue to <br />collaborate with outside fire departments towards <br />training as a regional fire academy. <br />Ensure adequate coverage throughout the entire fire <br />district. <br />Continue the process of building fire station #3 to be <br />located on the east side of the city before the <br />construction project of 169 Redefine to ensure adequate <br />coverage and reduce response times.
