EDA City Beautification Committee Page 2 March 6,2017 Member McCormick questioned if criteria is in place for members to'score projects. Ms. McCormick indicated she would like to see a scoring system in place to be fair to all projects. Ms. Othoudt stated she will put something together and send to the committee members,for review. Member Magnussen questioned if non-winning applications roll over month to month. Discussion took place and consensus was to send a letter thanking the business for their submission and asking them to consider reapplying. The committee also mentioned partnering with the Chamber of Commerce to assist with nominations if not enough applications are received. Ms. Othoudt will discuss this with the Chamber. • Member McCormick questioned if an award will be given if there are not'enough applications: Committee consensus was an award can be given no matter how many applications are received as long as the application meets the criteria. 4.5 2017 Meeting Schedule Ms. Othoudt proposed the committee meet at 10:00 a:m. on the second Monday of each month May through October. She stated applications are due the first Monday of the month by 4:30 p.m. and will be routed to the committee for review the next morning. She stated committee members should review the applications prior to the meeting. Ms. Othoudt noted the award recipient will be recognized on the third Monday of the month at the Economic Development Authority and City Council meetings. 5.
