City Council Minutes Page 13 <br />July 6, 2020 <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />8.6 Council Goals/Mission/Vision <br />Mr. Portner presented the staff report. <br />Moved by Councilmember Wagner and seconded by Councilmember <br />Westgaard to approve the 2020 Council goals, mission and vision. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br />8.7 Discuss Work Session Items <br />Mr. Portner presented the staff report. <br />Mayor Dietz added consideration of cultural tolerance and understanding. <br />9. Council Liaison Updates <br />This item was removed from the agenda. <br />10.1 Activity Center Facility Uses <br />I Mr. Portner presented the staff report. <br />Craig Prange, 14312 215'h Court, representing Glory of Christ Fellowship, reviewed <br />a presentation and provided a history of their organization and why they are looking <br />for a permanent location for their ministry. He explained how the Activity Center <br />would be a good fit. <br />Tina Meeker, reviewed her presentation and discussed how the arts are good for a <br />community. She discussed how they would like to use the Activity Center. <br />Barry Hohlen, 19331 Rush Court, reviewed his presentation and explained his <br />groups vision to serve youth in the community. <br />Councilmember Westgaard asked Mr. Hohlen if he has given any thought in trying <br />to make the new multipurpose facility work for their needs. He outlined the <br />opportunities in the space noting it is within a much safer walking distance for kids. <br />Mr. Hohlen stated the accessibility is fantastic but had concern about 24-hour, 365 <br />accessibility and competing with needs of other facility users. <br />Todd Roskaft, 22068 Brook Road, stated he believes the activity center is a great <br />asset to the community and there are a lot of use opportunities. He doesn't want to <br />see it sold, but rather it should be utilized by non-profit groups. He further stated the <br />Mason's would like the building too. <br />P0VEIEI Ir <br />NATURE <br />
