3 Ineligible businesses include the following (this is a non-exclusive list): • Non-profit organizations • Self-employed, independent contractors or businesses with no full-time employees other than the owner • Corporate chains and/or multi-state chains • Businesses that derive income from passive investments; business-to-business transactions; real estate transactions; property rentals or property management; billboards; or lobbying Amount of Grant and Use of Grant Funds Eligible businesses may receive a one-time grant of up to $30,000 based on demonstrated need and for use on eligible expenses. Funds may be used for rent or mortgage payments, payroll for current employees, working capital and operational costs such as inventory and utility payments. Funds may not be used for Agriculture (crop or livestock production, etc.), purchasing machinery or vehicles, moving expenses, land acquisition, or the payment of property taxes. The County will determine in its discretion the appropriate amount of a grant and the eligible costs and expenses for each eligible business. Application Process • Applications will be accepted beginning July 27 through August 31, 2020. • Applicants must submit an application form via the web available here: __________. • Applicants should include the following information: ○ Basic details about the business; ○ Information on current operations including whether the business is currently closed or is providing reduced services; ○ Narrative descriptions and estimated calculations of the negative impacts on the business due to COVID-19; and ○ Information on the intended use of the grant funds. • Applicants will be notified within approximately two weeks is the application is approved. • Following notice of an approved application, applicants must submit the following within 5 business days:
