NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sherburne County Board of <br />Commissioners as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The Sherburne County Board of Commissioners hereby established the Sherburne <br />County Business Relief program and to provide business assistance and emergency funding to <br />help local businesses survive/recover from the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. <br /> <br /> 2. The Sherburne County Business Relief Program is intended to provide emergency <br />grant funding to sustain operations for businesses and to help eligible local businesses with costs <br />associated with reopening under public health guidance and protocols. Eligible businesses shall <br />be those that are locally owned and operated; have a physical establishment in Sherburne <br />County; and have at least two and no more than 50 full time employees. <br /> <br /> 3, The Sherburne County Business Relief Program shall be administered according <br />to the attached guidelines and in compliance with the requirements and limitations of the CARES <br />Act. <br /> <br /> 4. Sherburne County shall allocate a minimum 20% of its federal funding from the <br />Coronavirus Relief Fund available under the CARES Act for the Sherburne County Business <br />Relief Program. <br /> <br /> 5. The County Administrator be authorized to negotiate an agreement with Central <br />Minnesota Development Corporation (CMDC) for financial review and technical assistance in <br />processing Sherburne County Business Relief program applications, with a not to exceed amount <br />of $50,000, and that following review and approval by the County Attorney's Office, the Board <br />Chair is authorized to sign the agreement on behalf of the County. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 14th day of July, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br />_____________________________ <br />Felix Schmiesing, Chair <br />Sherburne County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />______________________________________ <br />Bruce Messelt <br />County Administrator <br />
