Tralle, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 91 - !n <br />RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GIFT <br />OF REAL PROPERTY FROM DOMINIC F. GOSPODOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River (the City) is a Minnesota <br />municipal corporationi and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best <br />interest of the City to provide adequate public <br />recreational land as well as land for public <br />improvements such as municipal offices, etc.i and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has been approached by Dominic F. Gospodor <br />(Gospodor), a former resident of the City and owner of <br />the following land located within the City: <br /> <br />Lots 1 and 2, Block 2, and Outlots A, B, and Ci all in <br />Gospodor's Orono Lake Addition, Sherburne County, <br />Minnesota (the PropertY}i and, <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Gospodor has expressed an interest in conveying the <br />Property to the City as a gifti that the gift is based <br />on a charitable donative intent by Gospodori and that <br />Gospodor is under no coercion to convey the Property, <br />but is conveying the Property by his own free willi <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City secured the appraisal services of Howard <br />Lawrence, M.A. I. , who appraised the Property at <br />$107,800, as stated on Exhibit A to this Resolutioni <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to accept the gift of the Property <br />from Gospodor to be used for public purposes. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE,.BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />of Elk River, Sherburne County, Minnesota, that the <br />Property be accepted from Gospodor pursuant to the <br />terms of the Gift and Sales Agreement entered into <br />between the City and Gospodor on July 29, 1991. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />
