Special Meeting of the Elk River <br />Economic Development Authority <br />Public Art Sub-committee <br />Thursday, June 25, 2020 <br /> <br />Members Present: Jennifer Wagner, Sharon Tracy, Ann McCormick, and Dan Tveite <br /> <br />Members Absent: Michael Niziolek <br /> <br />Staff Present: Economic Development Director, Amanda Othoudt and Economic <br />Development Specialist, Colleen Eddy <br /> <br />Others Present: None <br /> <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic <br />Development Authority Public Art Sub-Committee was called to order at 2:00 p.m. <br />by Dan Tveite. <br /> <br />2. Consider Agenda <br /> <br />Moved by Jennifer Wagner and seconded by Ann McCormick to approve the <br />agenda. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />3. Consent Agenda <br /> <br />3.1 April 12, 2020 Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Moved by Sharon Tracy and seconded by Jennifer Wagner to approve the <br />consent agenda. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />4. General Business <br /> <br />4.1 Review Public Art Proposals <br /> <br />Ms. Eddy presented the staff report. The subcommittee reviewed and discussed the <br />five proposals and narrowed down the five to two finalists. The group directed staff <br />to contact the two finalists and ask a couple questions in order to better understand <br />their projects: <br /> <br />Dean; <br />1. Can their project be outside? <br />2. Can it be 2 dimensional instead of 4? <br />3. Can it be formed into a āSā curve instead of a square? <br />4. Can it be lit up on the inside? <br />
