Briggs <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Resolution <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL, VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER, MINNESOTA <br />VACATING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS <br /> <br />In the Matter of the Vacation of Streets and Alleys in Walker’s Addition to the Village of Elk River: <br /> <br />th <br />WHEREAS the above entitled matter came on to be heard on the 6 day of April, 1953, at 8:00 <br />P.M. before the Village Council of the Village of Elk River, Minnesota, in the Municipal Building in <br />said Village upon the petition duly filed by Elk River Home and Improvement Company for the <br />vacation of the following described streets and alleys in said Village, to-wit: <br />Ninth Street, Elm Street, and all unnamed streets and alleys as laid out in the Plat of Walker’s <br />Addition to the Village of Elk River, dated July 18, 1946 and filed for record on said date in the <br />office of the Register of Deeds in and for Sherburne County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />WHERAS due notice of said hearing by published and posted notice as required by law has been <br />given by said Village Council, and the petitioners appeared in support of said petition and no one <br />appeared in opposition thereto, and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS said Village Council has heard the evidence in favor of said petition, that the petitioners <br />and other persons who signed said petition are the owners of all lands adjoining and abutting said <br />streets and alleys, and that the said streets and alleys are not now nor in the foreseeable future will be <br />used for any public purpose, and that it would be to the best interest of the public to vacate said <br />streets and alleys, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS Councilman Bailey introduced the resolution hereinafter set forth and moved its <br />adoption, which said resolution was duly seconded by Councilman ____, and said resolution having <br /> <br />
