Briggs <br />Clerk <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF VILLAGE COUNCIL VACATING STREET <br /> <br />In the matter of the vacation of: <br /> <br />Second Street between Blocks 17 and 18 in the Village of Elk River and Spring Street between State <br />Street and a line joining the northeast corner of the South one-half of Lot Six (6) in Block 17 of the <br />Village of Elk River and Northwest corner of the South 374 ½ feet of lot twelve (12) of Auditor’s <br />Subdivision No. 4. <br /> <br />The above entitled matter came on to be heard before the Village Council of the Village of Elk <br />River, Minnesota, upon a petition duly filed by the Vernon Cemetery Association and Emil J. <br />Hoffman, and the Village Council having given due notice of said hearing by published and posted <br />th <br />notice as provided by law, and said hearing having been held on the 6 day of August, 1951, at 8:00 <br />o’clock P.M. in the Municipal Building in said Village, and the said council after hearing the evidence <br />presented by parties interested, finds that: petitioners are the owners of all the land abutting said <br />streets sought to be vacated, that said portions of streets are not serving any public purpose, and that <br />it would be in the best interest of all concerned if said portions of streets be vacated; <br />Councilman Ryding introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption, to-wit: That that <br />portion of Second Street between Blocks 17 and 18 in the Village of Elk River and Spring Street <br />between State Street and a line joining the northeast corner of the south half of Lot 6, in Block 17 of <br />the Village of Elk River and the northwest corner of the south 37 ½ feet of Lot Twelve (12) of <br />Auditor’s Subdivision No. 4, be and the same hereby is vacated. <br /> <br />Which said resolution was seconded by Councilman Parent and being put to a vote a majority of <br />said council voted in favor of said resolution, whereupon said resolution was declared adopted by <br />th <br />the President of said council.
