Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />H.A. Briggs <br />Clerk <br /> <br />A special meeting of the council was held at the Municipal Building on Mar 18, 1948 for the purpose <br />of opening bids for the Liquor Store furnishings. All members were present. <br /> <br />The following bids were received: <br />L. Paulle Co – St Paul 2747.00 <br />Jos F. Palen – Minneapolis 3957.00 <br /> <br />Each price included trading in the old fixtures and each was accompanied by a check for $100.00 <br /> <br />Representatives of the Paulle Co were present. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Ellingson and seconded by Leger that the lowest bidder. L. Paulle Co, be <br />accepted. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The clerk was instructed by the Council to write Mrs. Alden Taylor that her February check of <br />$25.00 will be the last payment for care of Miss Kenniston until a medical examination has been <br />made in Miss Kenniston’s Case. <br /> <br />The clerk was also instructed not to issue any more warrants in the Simmons case. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Briggs and seconded by Leger to loan the Utilities $4000.00 from the Liquor <br />fund. <br /> <br />There being no further business the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />H.A.
