<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />August 19, 1947 <br /> <br />A special meeting was held at the Municipal Bldg on August 19, 1947. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> Mayor Glenn Davidson, Elmer Leger, Walter L Johnson, R.A. Ellingson, Trustees; <br />H.A. Briggs, Clerk <br /> <br />The meeting was called to consider applicants for Marshall. <br /> <br />The following applications were received: <br />Charles Nogel <br />Harold Sykes <br />Oliver Micheau <br />Les Derr <br /> <br />Charles M Nelson was present and the Council conferred with him in regard to his reconsidering his <br />resignation. The Council offered him a salary of $210.00 a month for salary and use of car. Mr. <br />Nelson said it would be necessary to see the County Commissioners and find out if they would <br />st <br />release him as he had promised to accept a position at the court house on Sept 1. <br /> <br />Further action on the applications was postponed until a later date. <br /> <br />An application for building permit was received from E.A. Parent and upon motion by Leger and <br />second by Ellingson the permit was approved. All members voting in favor. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />H.A. Briggs <br />Clerk <br />
