its <br />City of Eden Prairie, Minnesota <br />Comprehensive Plan <br />"Aspire Eden Prairie 2040" <br />In January 2o17, Houseal Lavigne and the City of Eden <br />Prairie initiated a process to update its Comprehensive <br />Plan. Branded as Aspire Eden Prairie 2040, the Plan acts <br />as Eden Prairie's primary policy guide for growth and <br />development over the next 20 years. <br />Personalized and topic -focused outreach and <br />community -wide stakeholder involvement was <br />integral to the Plan. The strategic outreach efforts <br />included interactive online community engagement, <br />online and in -person community issues mapping, <br />in -person interviews and focus -group meetings to <br />discuss specific topics, Do -It -Yourself (DIY) workshop <br />packets, which allowed residents to conduct <br />community workshops within their organization and <br />neighborhoods, and much more. In addition, the <br />Plan integrates the concepts of community health, <br />equity and diversity, sustainability and resilience, and <br />historic preservation into both its Comprehensive <br />Plan, and in greater detail, its Special Study Area <br />Plans.
