<br />XII. Land Use <br /> <br />Anoka <br />A Resolution to pursue a joint agreement with the Northstar Corridor <br />Development Authority concerning the Development of the Anoka Station was <br />signed on May 16,2005. It was resolved that the City of Anoka will continue to <br />work in cooperation with the NCDA to pursue the successful development of <br />the Northstar Corridor Commuter Rail Project and development of the Anoka <br />Station. It was also resolved that the city of Anoka will continue to pursue <br />development of the Commuter Rail Transit Village at and surrounding Anoka <br />Station. Finally, it was resolved, that the city of Anoka is prepared to enter into <br />a Memorandum of Understanding with the NCDA concerning the initial <br />development and future expansion of the Anoka Station and requests that the <br />NCDA agree to pursue a mutually beneficial long term relationship concerning <br />development of the Anoka Station and the Anoka Commuter Rail Village. <br /> <br />Project staff are scheduling meetings to discuss transit oriented development <br />opportunities at Big Lake, Elk River, Anoka, Coon Rapids, Fridley and the <br />Inter-modal station in Minneapolis with local government staff. <br /> <br />XIII. Next Steps <br /> <br />Project staff continues work on the material FT A will need to change the <br />project's rating from "Not Recommended" to "Recommended" and to approve <br />entry into the final design phase. The date for submittal of the New Starts <br />Criteria, Financial Plan is July 8, 2005. The Real Estate Plan, Quality Plan, <br />Before & After Study Plan and the Project's response to the DOT request for <br />ADA-related data will also be provided by July 8 or earlier if possible.
