<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />November 25, 1960 <br /> <br />A special meeting was held at Village Hall on November 25, 1960. <br /> <br />This was a hearing on the sewer and water assessments on the extensions of the sewer and water. <br />Mr. Dan Bailey and attorney John E. MacGibbon were present also. Mr. Norman Krueger of Carter, <br />Krueger and Associates, Engineers. A delegation from Section B attended the meeting. <br /> <br />There was considerable discussion in regard to the assessment per foot especially by those from <br />Section B. They fell the cost per foot is too high and that the total cost of the project was much <br />more than the original estimate. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Kemper and seconded by Bergerson that adjustments in the assessments for <br />Construction of sanitary sewer because of errors in the front footage measurements be made to <br />Allene Houlton, S.R. Houlton estate. Haultor Investment Co, Elk River Lumber Co Emil Parent, <br />assessments to reflect an assessment based upon the correct front footage of the property assessed <br />and that an adjustment be made in the Al Delgehausen assessment for said construction to <br />compensate his property for lack of basement drainage, or to provide in the alternative, adequate <br />basement drainage for his property. <br /> <br />Motion carried all voting in favor. The water assessments were taken up next and the discussion was <br />taken care of by Richard Halter, Engineer for the Power and Light Department. A motion was made <br />by Briggs and seconded by Bergerson to accept the water assessments except possible adjustments <br />in the case of Elk River Lumber Co. Earl Greer. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Meyer and second by Kemper the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />H.A. Briggs <br />Village Clerk <br /> <br />
