<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />November 7, 1960 <br /> <br />A regular meeting was held at Village Hall on November 7, 1960. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> Henry Johnson, Mayor; R.G. Kemper, G.A. Bergerson, August Meyer, Trustees; <br />H.A. Briggs, Clerk <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jonson. <br /> <br />The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Briggs and seconded by Kemper to have the same hours and judges for the <br />December Village election. Three Judges and hours from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Carried. <br /> <br />The following levy was made for 1961: <br />General Fund 33 mills <br />Utilities 5 mills <br />Library 4 mills <br />Poor ½ mills <br />Music 0 mills <br />Firemens Relief .1 of 1 mill <br />Village Improvements 5 mills <br /> <br />A special council meeting was set for Nov. 14 regarding payment of balance on Liquor Store <br />Contracts. Architect Moose was asked to be present. A motion was made by Meyer and seconded by <br />Kemper to accept the figures for water and sewer assessments shown on the attached copies. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Bergerson and seconded by Meyer hold a hearing on sewer and water <br />assessments on Nov. 25 at 7:30 P.M. Motion carried. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Bergerson and seconded by Briggs to make contract with Wm J. Mills as <br />engineer at $25.00 a month. Contracts are to be prepared. Allen Co – siren repairs 144.68 <br />Buffalo Clinic – Mrs. Nelson 5.00 <br /> <br />
