We have a strong background in developing park and public use facilities and understand how they should function to <br />meet both the needs of user groups, including understanding the needs of operations and maintenance staff. SRF is also recognized <br />for our ability to develop design solutions that will be seamlessly integrated with the physical characteristics of the site, and be <br />constructed within the budget established for the project. Our proposal outlines several key reasons that the SRF team will contribute <br />to this project's success: <br />COMMITMENT OF SENIOR STAFF. Serving as project principal, Ken Grieshaber will provide seasoned leadership to the <br />team. Ken has over 30 years of specialized experience in the planning and development of parks, open space, and recreation <br />facilities. Tim Wold will serve as project manager. Tim has 20 years of experience in park planning and design, developing and <br />renovating numerous regional park facilities within sensitive natural resource areas. Our team also includes Tim Mcllwain of HCM <br />Architects who brings specialized park building design experience to the project. SRF and HCM have collaborated together on many <br />park improvement projects together including Lakeside Commons Park in Blaine and Harmon Park in West Saint Paul. <br />DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE. SRF's park, open space, and trail experience spans comprehensive planning, master <br />planning, design, implementation, and in -construction services. As noted in our proposal, we have successfully assisted numerous <br />agencies planning and developing regional park and trail facilities in a wide variety of natural resource and waterfront environments. <br />MULTIDISCIPLINARY SKILLS. Our team offers comprehensive park planning and design services, which is critical to developing <br />and implementing integrated and technically sound design solutions. Our key staff members include experienced landscape architects, <br />civil, and water resource engineers needed to evaluate and undertake the scope of work identified for the City. <br />PROCESS AND COMMUNICATION. We are committed to working closely with City staff during all phases of the project — <br />communication is the key to every assignment, reinforcing the trust and support needed to successfully design and implement park <br />improvement projects. <br />Our team is excited about the potential both of these projects present for creating new and updated park experiences to better serve <br />the needs of all user groups.
