This work will be completed prior to the proposed Twin Lakes Road and Line Avenue
improvements (2021) and the 169 Redefine project (2022-2024).
The project includes pavement replacement, concrete median construction, left and right turn lanes at
road intersections, signal installation at 181" Avenue (CSAH 12) and Twin Lakes Road (CSAH 13) a
single lane roundabout at Johnson Street and 181" Avenue (CSAH 12).
The concrete median construction will restrict access (right in, right out) to Hillside Park. The park's
access modification has been discussed with the Parks and Recreation Commission and the City Council.
Several options have been discussed for the Hillside Park access and the county's proposing a right in,
right out with a right turn lane. The county would like to provide the city with an option for future access
modification to Hillside Park. The option would provide up to $40,000 in construction costs to remove
the current access off CSAH 12 to another location. The funding would be available for a 3-year period.
Financial Impact
None
Attachments
■ CSAH 12 Layout
The Elk River Vision
A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional,` 01 e
service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires pi ospei l_ y INAMIRE1
