II.3. Customer Average Interruption Duration Index (CAIDI) <br />CAIDI is defined as the average duration (in minutes) of an interruption experienced by customers during <br />a specific time frame. <br />Since CAIDI is a sustained interruption index, only outages lasting longer than five minutes are included in <br />1 <br />the calculations. It is calculated by dividing the sum of all customer minutes of interruption during that <br />time period by the number of customers that experienced one or more interruptions during that time <br />period. This metric reflects the average customer experience (minutes of duration) during an outage. <br />Table 6.
