OFFICIAL BALLOT <br />SPECIAL ELECTION <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 6, 1959 <br /> <br />Shall the Village of Elk River, Minnesota, issue its negotiable coupon general obligation bonds in an <br />amount not exceeding $110,000.00 for the purpose of constructing and equipping a new sewage <br />treatment plant? <br />YES <br />NO <br />INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS: If you wish to vote in favor of the above proposition, mark a <br />cross (x) in the square opposite the word YES. If you wish to vote against said proposition, mark a <br />cross (x) in the square opposite the word NO <br /> <br />On the back of each ballot there shall be printed the words “OFFICIAL BOND BALLOT”, the <br />date of election, the facsimile signature of the Village Clerk, and lines for the initials of two judges. <br /> <br />5. The Village Clerk shall also provide the election officials with suitable tally sheets, poll lists, <br />form of official returns, ballot boxes, and other necessary supplies for the conduct of said <br />election. <br />6. This Council shall meet within two days following the date of said election, to-wit: on <br />October 7, 1959, at 7:30 o’clock for the purpose of canvassing the results of said election, at <br />the Municipal Building in said village, and declaring the result thereof, and for the purpose of <br />transacting such other business as may properly come before the meeting. <br />Attest: A.J. Briggs, Village Clerk <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was made by member Kemper and duly <br />seconded by Member Bergerson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: Kemper, Bergerson, Meyer <br />And the following voted again the same: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, and was signed by the Mayor, <br />which was attested by the Village Clerk. <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF SHERBURNE <br /> <br />I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk of the Village of Elk River, hereby attest <br />and certify that <br />(1) As such officer, I have the legal custody of the original record from which the attached and <br />foregoing extract was transcribed; <br />(2) I have carefully compared said extract with said original record; <br />(3) I find said extract to be a true, correct and complete transcript from the original minutes of a <br />meeting of the Village Council of the Village held on the date indicated in said extract, <br />including any resolutions adopted at such meeting, insofar as they relate to $110,000.00 <br />sewage treatment plant bonds of the Village and <br />(4) Said meeting was duly held, pursuant to call and notice thereof as required by law. <br />th <br />WITNESS my hand and seal of said Village this 8 day of September, 1959. <br />H.A.
