<br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: <br />The Village Council of the Village of Elk River, Minnesota, will receive bids at the office of the <br />Village Clerk in Elk River, Minnesota, until 8 P.M. on August 24, 1959, for the making of the <br />following described local improvement under Chapter 429 M.S.A. The improvement consists of the <br />construction of a waste treatment plant to serve the Village of Elk River, Minnesota. This includes a <br />life station, a 34’ x 20’ dual primary clarifier, a 40’ trickling filter, a 34’ x 20’ dual final clarifier, a 10’ x <br />20’ chlorination tank, a 36’ digester, a 17’ x 25’ control building and sludge drying beds. <br />Bids shall be directed to the Village Clerk, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper <br />with a brief statement or summary of the work for which the bid is made. The address of the Village <br />Clerk is Mr. H.A. Briggs, Village Clerk, Elk River, Minnesota. <br />The bids will be publicly opened for consideration by the Council at 8 P.M., August 24, 1959, at the <br />Elk River Village Hall, Elk River, Minnesota. <br />A certified check, bid bond, cashier’s check, or a cash deposit in the amount of 5% of the total bid <br />shall accompany each bid. Checks shall be made payable to the Village of Elk River and will be <br />cashed by the Village if the bidder fails to execute a contract within ten (10) days after the award of a <br />contract by the Village. <br />The village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities, and to make the <br />award in the best interest of the Village. No bidder may withdraw his proposal for a period of thirty <br />(30) days after the date set for the opening thereof. <br />All bidders shall use Bid Forms supplied by the Engineer. Partial payments will be made each <br />month, as provided in the specification. <br />Copies of the drawings and specifications may be seen at the office of the Village Clerk, Elk River, <br />Minnesota. Copies of the drawings, specifications and bid forms may be obtained from the <br />Engineer, Carter, Krueger & Associations, Inc., 3381 Gorham Avenue (St. Louis Park), Minneapolis <br />26, Minnesota, upon making a deposit of fifteen ($15.00) dollars. Failure to submit a bona fide bid <br />will result in forfeiture of deposit. All bidders submitting a bona fide bid at this time and place <br />designated will receive refund of their deposit upon return of drawings and specifications complete <br />to the Engineer within ten (10) days after the bid opening date. <br />Village of Elk River By /S/ H.A.
