Flaherty, Pres <br /> <br />At this time bids were opened for a stoker for the Municipal Building. H.R. Caley submitted a bid on <br />a No. 2 ½ Combustioner automatic coal burner having a maximum coal burning capacity of 25 lbs <br />per hour, complete with all necessary wiring and brick work, electric electron clock, night and day <br />thermostat furnacetat, relay time tacter “Hold Fire” overload and under voltage protection switch <br />automatic air control automatic clutch and with agitator in hopper all complete and ready for <br />operation for the sum of $264.50. <br />H.R. Caley also submitted a alternate bid for a No. 2 machine with all the above controls and <br />equipment for the sum of $224.50. <br />Middlestadt Bros representing the Iron Firemen submitted a bid for $320.00. <br />Robert Hamilton Co submitted a bid for a stoker for $260.00. <br />After hearing from H.R. Caley and Albert Middlestadt a motion was made by Wm Greupner <br />seconded by Geo Cornelius to buy a stok from H.R. Caley for $264.50. <br /> <br />Chas Booth came before the Council and asked them to authorize relief for himself and family as he <br />was not able to find any work. A motion was made by Wm Greupner seconded by Wm Patenaude <br />to approve relief for Mr. Booth for 30 days and that would give him a chance to find employment. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Geo Cornelius seconded by Wm Patenaude to adopt the following budget <br />for the year 1938. <br />General – 6000.00 <br />R and B – 1800.00 <br />Poor – 800.00 <br />Library 350.00 <br />B and Int – 4000.00 <br />Band – 2 mills <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Wm H Greupner seconded by Geo Cornelius to grant building permits to <br />the following parties. Chas Bade to build a warehouse on to the back of Henry’s Store, C.A Peterson <br />to build a chicken house in back of his home. Motion carried. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Wm Greupner seconded by Geo Cornelius to allow the following bills and <br />order them payed. <br />E.R. Power and Lt Co – light and power 263.63 <br />N.W. Bell Tele Co – tele rent and calls 6.60 <br />Henry’s Groc – supplies .68 <br />First Natl Bk – premium 10.80 <br /> <br />
