Section 1 – That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 31 be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />“Section 3 – The application so filed with the Village Clerk shall be presented to the Village Council <br />at their next regular meeting or a special meeting called for that purpose and if the said applicant <br />shall satisfy the Village Council that the applicant will conduct the selling of said non-intoxicating <br />malt liquor at the place named in said application according to the provisions of this ordinance and <br />the State and Federal laws relating thereto the Village Council may grant said applicant a license to <br />sell such non-intoxicating malt liquor for consumption on the licensed premises for a license fee of <br />$50.00 per annum. That if the applicant desires a license to sell non-intoxicating malt liquor in the <br />original packages for consumption off the premises only, the license fee therefor shall be $5.00 per <br />annum” <br /> <br />Section 2 – This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and <br />publication according to law. <br /> <br />st <br />Passed by the Village Council this 1 day of March, 1937. <br /> <br />st <br />Approved by the President this 1 day of March 1937 <br /> <br />Attest Wm H Greupner, Village Clerk <br />J.D. Bailey seconded by Geo Cornelius to allow all bills except Mrs. <br />Roberts, Anderson and Nord for the case of Anna Nolk – these bills to be tabled until the council <br />could investigate at see if Anna Nolk is a resident of Elk River. <br />E.R.
