<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />November 17, 1941 <br /> <br />A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Bldg on November 17, 1941 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> M.C. Tesch, Pres; E.L. Shadick, Trustee; J. Clinton Walker, Clerk <br /> <br />August Leider asked for help in locating a place to live and also asked for help with a grocery order <br />until he received his first W.P.A. check on Dec. 6. He was allowed a $10.00 Food Stamp Book. <br /> <br />L.L. Bishop applied for a permit to build a house. <br /> <br />A motion was made by E.L. Shadick and seconded by Clinton Walker granting this permit. <br /> <br />A motion was made by E.L. Shadick to appoint the following; J.C. Anderson, Mrs. Kahlier, Joe <br />Parker Judges and Clinton Walker and Mrs. Eva Foley Clerks at the Village Election on Dec. 2 1941. <br />Motion was seconded by Clinton Walker. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Clinton Walker and seconded by E.L. Shadick allowing the following bills <br /> <br />Herman Marohn – labor 30.10 <br />J.E. Hamlett – labor 37.46 <br />Joseph Parker – labor 3.20 <br />Jerry Sykes – labor 27.20 <br />Herschel Putman – labor 31.70 <br />Kenneth Ronney – labor 33.30 <br />Alden Taylor – labor 3.20 <br />W.L.
