IT – Information Technology – The technology involving the development, <br />maintenance, and use of computer systems, software, and networks for the <br />processing and distribution of data. <br /> <br />41. IOU – Investor Owned Utility – Large electric distributors that are governed by a <br />board of directors elected by stockholders. They exist to make a profit for investors <br />while serving the public. Capital is raised through stock sales, taxable bonds, and <br />through operating revenues. IOUs are most prevalent in heavily populated areas on <br />the East and West coasts. <br /> <br />42. IPD - Implicit Price Deflator - The ratio of the current-dollar value of a series, such as <br />gross domestic product (GDP), to its corresponding chained-dollar value, multiplied <br />by 100. The Bureau of Economic Analysis publishes implicit price deflators for GDP, <br />related components, and Gross National Product in National Income and Product <br />Accounts. The IPD is used for the calculation of the loss of revenue LOR payment in <br />the 2015 Electric Service Territory Transfer Agreement with Connexus Energy. <br /> <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />43.
