City <br />E <br />liver <br />February 10, 2020 <br />After reviewing two quotes for the public announcement system far the multipurpose facility, I am recommending Electronic <br />Design Company be awarded the bid. <br />EDC was a higher quote; however, the design, quality of products used, and overall performance of their system will better <br />meet our needs. <br />• In the main rink, EDC's system has six speakers on each side and three speakers at each end, while the lower <br />quote only has five on each side and none on the ends. <br />• EDC's system includes twelve 12"speakers with horns over the ice, while the other quote only includes eight 6.5" <br />speakers with a smaller 6.5" horn. <br />• In the practice rink, EDC quoted eleven 12"speakers over the rink with six more hung across the bleachers, <br />while the other quote provides a total of seventeen smaller 6.5"speakers. <br />• While each company provides sub woofers for both rinks, Electronic Design Company uses 15"sub woofers in the <br />premier rink which gives a richer sound for a larger area. <br />Rich Czech <br />Arena Manager <br />763.635.1141 <br />13065 Orono Parkway <br />Elk River, MN 55330 <br />763.635.1000 <br />R I E a E l 1 1 <br />NATURE] <br />ElkRiverMN.gov <br />
