There are still a couple of commercial customers <br />that are trying to complete their paperwork, but they may have to be pushed to 2020 <br />for processing. The preliminary customer energy savings is estimated to be 2,928,343 <br />kWh. Staff is evaluating the utility infrastructure efficiency models provided by the <br />Minnesota Department of Commerce to capture possible energy efficiency savings from <br />transformer and distribution conductor upgrades. <br />Attended a Senate Hearing at Mound Westonka High School on clean energy legislation. <br />The discussion focused on three initiatives that are being evaluated by state lawmakers. <br />The initiatives are Clean Energy First, 100% Carbon Free by 2050, and Conservation <br />Improvement Program Optimization. The administration is looking to have all three <br />pieces bundled together, while the Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association direction is <br />to work with basics of the Clean Energy First and CIP Optimization initiatives, while <br />leaving the 100% Carbon Free initiative behind.
