Further to the Special Note above: <br />Working Remotely <br />Non-exempt employees who wish to work remotely (other than field employees whose <br />permission f <br />datedatawithout first obtaining such permission. <br />Any and all time worked remotely, including time spent accessing Utilities systems or data <br />for the benefit of the employer, must be recorded and reported to the Utilities in order to <br />assure proper compensation, in accordance with this Time Reporting Policy and the Fair <br />Pay Policy below in Section 25.26. <br />25.26. FAIR PAY POLICY <br />Elk River Municipal Utilities (referred to in this Fair <br />Pay Policy. Specifically, it is the policy and practice of the Employer to accurately <br />compensate employees and to do so in compliance with all applicable state and federal <br />laws. The Utilities will never knowingly fail or refuse to pay an employee the full amount <br />of compensation to which he or she is entitled by law for work performed on behalf of the <br />Utilities. <br />ALL EMPLOYEES <br />Protection of Employee Rights <br />The Employer will protect the right of each employee to receive compensation according <br />to the law. Violations of this Fair Pay Policy, whether by a managerial or non-managerial <br />employee, may result in disciplinary action, if appropriate under the circumstances, up to <br />and including termination of employment. <br />The Employer will not tolerate or allow any form of retaliation against individuals who <br />report alleged or suspected violations of this policy or who cooperate in the <br />investigation of such reports. Retaliation is unacceptable, and any form of retaliation in <br />violation of this policy will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. <br />Record Your Time And Review Your Pay Stub <br />To ensure that you are paid properly for all time worked and that no improper deductions <br />are made, you must record correctly all work time and review your paychecks promptly to <br />identify and to report all errors. <br />The Employer makes every effort to ensure that its employees are paid correctly. <br />Occasionally, however, inadvertent mistakes can happen.
