WHEREAS, on December 16, 2019, the Elk River City Council ad- opted Ordinance 19-25 repealing and replacing Chapter 10 of the Elk River Code of Ordinances; and WHEREAS, the changes elim- inated pet licensing, eliminated discrepancies within the chapter, matched definitions of kennel and animals to zoning code, includes more animals then dogs and cats, eliminated cat kennels, created a quantifiable measurement for noisy animals, established rules for pet waste cleanup, incorporates state law regarding dangerous dogs, and created criteria for assisting ani- mals left in motor vehicles; and WHEREAS, a copy of the full text of the ordinance is available for inspection by any person at the office of the Elk River City Clerk, 13065 Orono Parkway, during reg- ular business hours; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE- SOLVED by the City Council, by at least four -fifths vote, authorizes the publication of the title and summa- ry of Ordinancel9-25. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly sec- onded by Councilmember Ovall, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor there- of: MMgyar Dietz. Councilmembers Christianson, Westgaard. Oval]. and Wagner and the following against: none, whereupon said res- olution was declared duly passed and adopted.
