<br /> <br />e <br /> <br />CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94 - -1Q <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />TO CHANGE THE LAND USE FROM <br />HR (HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL) TO <br />MR (MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL) <br />CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />CASE NO. LUA 94-2 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 462.355, Subdivision 2, <br />prescribes the procedure for amending the Comprehensive Plan, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on March 22, <br />1994, and recommended approval regarding the Comprehensive Plan <br />e amendment request for the property legally described as: <br /> <br />General description of the property is that portion of Orono Park lying east of <br />Hudson Street, south of State Highway 10, north or Orono Road, and west of <br />Gary Street, excluding Lake Orono Estates apartments from HR (High Density <br />Residential) to MR (Medium Density Residential) based on the following <br />findings: <br /> <br />1. The land use plan change will provide continuity with the intended use as <br />park and the existing park area. <br /> <br />2. The City currently has a high percentage of multiple family land use and <br />is trying to achieve an appropriate mix by increasing low and medium <br />density residential land uses. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Comprehensive Plan <br />amendment request and finds the change to be in general conformance to the <br />adopted Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />e <br />
