We received 107 applications for this position and offered interviews to 11 candidates.
Following background check, we recommend Jolene Richter for the position.

Ms. Richter worked for the city previously and took some time out of the workforce for family. She is
ready to come back to work and we are pleased that this timing worked out. She was actually hired for
this same position in December 2014 and then moved to a front desk position in the building department
in August of 2015 where she worked until May of 2017.

Because of her previous employment with the city and in this very position, Ms. Richter will begin at step
B of pay grade 6N and will begin accruing vacation at the level of 2 years and 5 ½ months of service.

Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.

Attachments
None

The Elk River Vision
A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional
service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires prosperity
