<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />November 18, 1940 <br /> <br />A meeting of the Council was held Monday Nov 18, 1940 at 8 o’clock P.M. at the Municipal Bldg <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> M.C. Tesch, Pres; G.A. Bailey, and Frank Nickerson, Trustees; Wm H Greupner, <br />Clerk <br /> <br />A motion was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Frank Nickerson to grant Gladys Hulbert 2 pair <br />stockings, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of overshoes and have her send her other shoes in to be repaired. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Wm. Greupner seconded by Frank Nickerson to pay Rudolph Reinke’s <br />doctor bill of $6.75. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The matter of shoveling sidewalks after a storm was discussed and it was decided to put a notice in <br />the paper notifying everyone and if they did not do it an ordinance would have to be made up to <br />take care of this problem. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Frank Nickerson seconded by G.A. Bailey to appoint the following judges <br />and clerks for the December election. Wm Greupner and Mrs. Foley as clerks, JC Anderson, Mrs. <br />Kaliher and H.J. Pfeiffer as judges.
