City of <br /> Elk City of Elk River <br /> Wver City Council <br /> Resolution 19- <br /> A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Designating Polling <br /> Places for the 2020 Presidential Nomination Primary, State Primary, and <br /> State General Election <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.16 requires cities to designate polling <br /> locations for the upcoming year; and <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Elk River has the ability to change a polling location mid-year for <br /> an emergency or if a polling location becomes unavailable for use; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk <br /> River,Minnesota,hereby designates Exhibit A as the polling locations for elections <br /> conducted in the city in 2020. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city clerk is hereby authorized to designate a <br /> replacement meeting the requirements of the Minnesota Election Law for any polling <br /> location designated in this Resolution that becomes unavailable for use by the city; <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city clerk is hereby authorized to designate an <br /> emergency replacement polling location meeting the requirements of Minnesota State <br /> Election Law for polling locations designated in this Resolution when necessary to ensure a <br /> safe and secure location for voting. <br /> Passed and adopted this 181h day of November 2019. <br /> John J.
