Support MnDOT's Highway 169 Study Efforts and recommend that plans be <br />accelerated to alleviate severe congestion in Elk River due to Highway 101 upgrades. <br /> <br />. Host meetings <br />. Provide constructive comment and review as needed <br />. Support recommendations in approved plan <br />. Provide City recommendations and vision <br /> <br />2. Help lobby decision-makers to implement transportation solutions <br /> <br />3. Support the use of local land use and zoning techniques to preserve identified right <br />of way <br /> <br />4. Attend City/County transportation meetings <br /> <br />5. Support access management plan for area north of County Road 33 <br /> <br />6. Support Transit Oriented Development requests near the Northstar corridor depot <br />site. <br /> <br />GOAL - Support Local Transportation Corridor Planning <br /> <br />Objectives: <br /> <br />1. Support the City Council in their local corridor planning and development efforts <br /> <br />. Attend and/or host neighborhood meetings <br />. Utilize land use and zoning mechanisms to preserve identified corridors <br /> <br />2. Communicate to the City Council the need to identify the specific corridors as soon <br />as possible in order to plan for developments that either impact or are impacted by <br />those corridors. <br /> <br />GOAL - Implement the Natural Resources Inventory Recommendations <br /> <br />Objectives: <br /> <br />1. Support the recommendations of the NRI Task Force <br />
