Lion John Weicht Park <br />September 2-6 <br />▪Earthwork crews began milling the existing parking lot. <br />▪Soil correction analyses continued. <br />September 9-13 <br />▪New fill was brought in to perform soil corrections necessary to begin construction of the <br />expanded parking area and new pavilion. (1) <br />▪Installation of the new water line underway. (2) <br />September 16-20 <br />▪Hauling operations went into full effect to remove saturated, organic soils and replace with new <br />sand fill to support the new parking area and pavilion. (4) <br />▪Water and sewer installation continued. <br />September 23-27 <br />▪Parking lot inspection led to a decision to use GeoGrid ®, a soil reinforcement product placed <br />between the sand and asphalt milling sections to improve the sub-base of the parking area. <br />▪Challenging soil conditions found a backhoe in a sticky situation (it was able to get out). (5) <br />▪Storm sewer line installation continued. <br />▪Grading of the ballfields and further soil correction work continued at the pavilion site.
