The following applications were presented for Pin Ball machine licenses. <br /> <br />Mrs. Ida Bourgoyne – 1 <br />E.L. Shadick – 2 <br />John Blocker – 1 <br />Bares Café – 1 <br />Gopher Café – 1 <br />Leighton and Ga__ - 2 <br />Honey’s Café – 2 <br />Eklund Drugs – 1 <br />Johnson Café – 1 <br />John Vicka – 1 <br /> <br />A motion was made by Wm Greupner seconded by G.A. Bailey to grant the above said applicants a <br />license for one year. <br /> <br />Mrs. Krunze representing the National Sanitation System came before the council and asked for a <br />permit whereas her company could hire someone from the Village of Elk River to go around and <br />collect garbage. It was decided that most of the people had some one that did collect their garbage <br />and that the rest of the people could take care of themselves. <br /> <br />Ellis Hamlet and Carrol Irish were present and asked permission to grade the runways on the Elk <br />River airport so it could be used by the Flying Club. They were told to see Mr. Byson representative <br />of the Northern States Power Co and if he gave them permission it would be all right with the <br />council. <br /> <br />Richard Halter was also present and asked to have a surveyor give him the grade of his sidewalk. <br />The clerk was instructed to have E.E. Chase take care of this. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Wm Greupner seconded by Geo Cornelius to have Wm Patenaude varnish <br />the library and council room floors. <br /> <br />A motion was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Geo Cornelius to transfer $1500.00 from the Bond <br />and Interest fund to the sinking fund. <br /> <br />Chas Nelson brought up the matter about painting the water tank. But it was decided to have this <br />done next year. <br /> <br />A motion was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Wm. Patenaude to allow the following bills <br /> <br />The following bills were allowed and ordered payed. <br /> <br />ER Power and Lt Co Power and Light $230.72 <br />N.H. Bell Tele Co Tele rent $3.10 <br />Miller Davis Co Supplies $1.88 <br />Ethel Lloyd Cleaning $1.50 <br />Wm Greupner Freight $1.46 <br />Geutral Lbr Fuel $27.07 <br /> <br />
