Consensus was provided for the steel frame
Poligon Chelsea pavilion style with a steel roof.
The Commission recommended at their June meeting,by a vote of 3-2, a red roof for Lion John Weicht
Park and a nature-tone roof color to be decided by the Woodland Trails Regional Park Grant Committee.
City Council discussed picnic pavilion roof colors at a July 1 meeting and did not reach consensus. Staff
received new information the red and orange colors provide a 10-year warranty on fading (to a certain
level) while the other colors have a much longer warranty at 30-years. This was discussed at the August 14
Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. After much deliberation,it was recommended by a 4-3 vote
to limit the roof color choices to the following three: Mansford Brown,Brite Red and Hartford Green.
The three colors will be presented to City Council in larger sample for further discussion and direction.
Should the Poligon Chelsea style pavilion be a standard one color option or should staff choose one of
the three colors recommended by the Commission.
Financial Impact
N/A
Attachments
■ None
The Elk River Vision
A PehoMing community 2a itb revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional POWERED By
service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires prosperity INAMIRE1
