Twin Lakes Road/CSAH 13 Corridor Study30 <br />Two-Lane Typical Section with Median <br />The following improvements will be included with the typical section: <br />•11-foot drive lanes <br />• Center median throughout segment <br />• Designated turn-lanes (breaks in median) where warranted <br />• 8-foot shoulder required for two-lane divided section <br />• Urban section with curb and gutter <br />• 10-foot boulevard along east side <br />• Extend 10’ trail from Trott Brook Pkwy to Cleveland Rd (CSAH 40) <br />• Extend sidewalk on east side north to 187 <br />th Ave NW in the near term. A long term connection could be made to 193rd Ave <br />NW via Tyler St NW as development occurs. <br />Anticipated Outcomes <br />This typical section is expected to provide the following outcomes: <br />• Narrower lanes create a sense of a tighter corridor to aid in slowing vehicle speeds <br />• Remove turning vehicles from the through-lane will improve corridor drive time and is anticipated to reduce or eliminate <br />illegal bypassing. <br />• The center median will continue the character of the south segment north to Cleveland Rd <br />• Extending the trail to Cleveland road along with the sidewalk connections will provide a missing connection in the non- <br />motorized network. <br />Recommended Typical Section <br />The three-lane section along this segment is recommended because it will be more economical to implement and is anticipated <br />to have fewer impacts with its slightly narrower cross section.
