Consultant Cost, Page 29
Consultant Cost - Section 7
A. Project Costs

The cost for each individual phase as shown below correlates to the work effort as outlined in Section 3
of this proposal and as per the RFP for the Twin Lakes Road Extension/Expansion Project. The
Traffic Analysis and Preliminary Design Services are the base services proposed under this contract and
we propose the following costs:

Traffic Analysis and Preliminary Design Phase (Base Services)

B. Reimbursable Costs

Hakanson Anderson charges for robotic total stations and mileage for construction observers (IRS Rate)
as shown in the Hourly Rate Schedule. These expenses are included in our Not -to-Exceed cost. All other
expenses are included in our hourly rates. Upon request, Hakanson Anderson will pay directly for the
permit fees and invoice these expenses to the City at the actual cost.

C. Final Design, Construction Plans, and Construction Services Estimate

At this time, the exact scope of the proposed project is not well defined. Specific factors may be
discovered during the Traffic Analysis and Preliminary Design Phase that may impact the scope and
extents of the proposed project. Therefore, the proposed costs as shown in the following table are
estimates and are based on the assumption that the proposed improvements will consist of a high -capacity
at grade intersection at the proposed Highway 10 / Twin Lakes Road intersection. Separate contracts may
be considered for the Final Design & Construction Plan phase and the Construction Services phase.
Phase 1 Project Management $ 8,000
Phase 2 Stakeholder/Agency Involvement $ 10,000
Phase 3 Community Engagement $ 25,500
Phase 4 Surveys and Right-of-Way Mapping $ 12,000
Phase 5 Public & Private Utility Identification & Coordination $ 6,500
Phase 6 Right of Way Identification $ 6,000
Phase 7 Traffic Analysis $ 75,000
Phase 8 Environmental Site Assessment $ 14,000
Phase 9 Geometric Layout $ 12,000
Phase 10 Preliminary Design $ 38,000
Phase 11 Geotechnical Information $ 16,800
Phase 12 Drainage Design $ 8,000
Phase 16 Preliminary Interchange Layout $ 15,000

Total Not-to-Exceed Cost $246,800
