This has been done via online <br />Decrease amount of waste going to landfill and increase promotion and handouts for the Recycle Coach app <br />recycling participation and other programs. Increase organics recycling via <br />incentives for the drop off program such as kitchen <br />buckets and containers (begin in 2019). Continue to <br />provide information to new residents on both items. <br />Host two events annually, add additional items for <br />recycling as available (carpet, mattresses, furniture), <br />recycle more items and send less to Elk River <br />Promote and expand community Clean Up Day. <br />Landfill (major change for 2019). Promote other local <br />recyclers between events via social media and city <br />website (and resident phone calls). <br />Promote recycling for construction, remodeling and <br />new development in the city. Provide recycling at <br />community events and improve current event <br />Increase recycling in various aspects of the community.recycling (Elk River Fest). Promote and educate <br />about benefits of recycling to local businesses <br />focusing on larger trash generators first. Utilize <br />metro parameters for required commercial recycling. <br />Continue working with EDA and attend BR&E site <br />visits to provide information and resources to local <br />businesses about proper recycling, waste reduction <br />Expand trash and recycling education for local businesses. <br />and cost saving tools for waste management. Utilize <br />local partnerships and community connections to do <br />so. <br />
