<br />The Council felt at this time that they could not make any decision <br />the insurance until they had the opportunity to review the 1974 budget. <br /> <br />regarding <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the letter from Mr. Olson regarding the three additional legal <br />holidays that are due to Village employees. John MacGibbon, Village Attorney stated '." <br />that this was correct and that the Village would have to comply to the law. A <br />copy of the letter is attached. <br /> <br />Robert Milne, Village Financal Advisor met with Council and reviewed the Village bonding <br />power for the proposed new Off-Sale Liquor Store and Library building. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman otto approving the lease No. 211, <br />588 agreement with Burlington Northern for a parking lot at a rental of $400.00 per <br />year to be effective August 1, 1973. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman otto approving Northwestern Bell <br />request to bury cable through Johnson Addition to the 30 unit apartment building. Motion <br />unanimou13]:J carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Cooper and seconded by Councilman Syring approving the revised Civil <br />Defense ordinance No. 10-02 and repeling the orginial also No. 10-02. A copy of the <br />ordinance as published is attached. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />The Clerk-Treasurer was instructed to draft a letter to the Highway Dept. requesting <br />a traffic study be made on Highway 201 for the purpose of possible reduction in speed <br />and a four way stop sign for the intersections of Jackson and School Street. <br /> <br />Councilman Hudson gave a report on commuhi.~ations for the Street Department. <br /> <br />Councilman Cooper gave a report on the progress of his study of the Police Reserve. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Council authorized the Police Dept. request to purchase a set of badges for <br />patrolman Mark Rieschl. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Otto approving the payment of the <br />General Government bills as listed. A copy of the list is attached. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />No furthur business the meeting adjourned at 12:06 A.M. <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />. <br />
