<br />., <br /> <br />The businessmen's association stated that they would pay these engineering fee's for <br />the Village ,Engineers preliminary report. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and secomded by Councilman Otto authorizing the Village <br />Engineer Wm. Mills to prepare a preliminary report for the developnent of these <br />parking lot projects. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />'~....' <br />,~ <br /> <br />Neil Larson met with the Council regarding a proposed professional Office Building <br />to be located at Lowell Avenue and ~~in Street he also reviewed for the Council <br />other projects that he has north of the village approximate acreage 160 consisting <br />of community park, green waYSJswimming pool, cluster homes., townhouses, apartment <br />buildings, and commerical area. Mr. Larson's question of the Council was that <br />if he requested city water for this project would the Council require annexsation. <br />The Council will review this matter at a later date with the Village Engineer & <br />Attorney. . <br /> <br />Mr. Larson would also like the Council's approval to build a 30 unit apartment <br />buildings in the Johnson Plat area. The Council stated that they would make their <br />decision during the early part of February 1973. <br /> <br />Les Derr met with the Council regarding department needs for the coming year. I. <br />He would like to try St Cloud Testing Lab for sewage test because it appears to <br />be lesser in cost from Minn. Valley Testing Lab approved by Council II. He would <br />like to purchase another sander for the other truck. Council instructed Mr. Derr <br />to obtain some cost figures. III. Wages for his department employees Mr. Derr <br />recommends 25~ per hour increase. <br /> <br />Ken Nelson, Darrel Mack, Leroy Pike and Arthur Barnier met with the Council and <br />requested that they receive standby pay over the weekend when on call at 8 hrs <br />per day at straight time payor a total of 16 hrs. The Council tabled their . <br />request for the present. <br /> <br />Patrolman Robert Johnson and his Attorney Wm. A Candall II met with the Council <br />regarding his termination of employment with the Elk River Police Dept. <br /> <br />Mr. Candall specking on behalf of this client Mr. Johnson requested that his <br />client have the opportunit, to review with the Council the complaints that have <br />been filed against him. Village Attorney John MacGibbon will contact Mr. Crandall <br />and confer as to what type of hearing should be held and when. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Otto and seconded by Councilman Hudson authorizing payments for <br />the Rennager & Madison family as stated on the application from the poor fund account. <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />"'. .,_...,........." <br />The Council reviewed the dump card stituation andresend their prevjouse desision <br />to read as follow commerical & residents to be charged for each load according <br />to size and commerical to be ~harged the same except they will be billed monthly. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Otto to approve the list of <br />General Government bills for payment as presented and listed. A copy of the list <br />is attached. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />The following 1973 wages and salaries were established to be effective January 1, <br />1973 <br />Liquor Store <br />Manager Ernie Thielke $50.00 per month increase and $40.00 extra pay <br />for Saturdays. <br />Assist.
