<br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Konop to order the addenum to the / <br />Enginneers 1972 Street Improvement Project Report dated May 19, 1972 and to call for a .... <br />Public Hearing and instruct and authorize the Clerk-Treasurer to advertize for the heari~ <br />in the Sherburne County Star News to be held in the Village Office Building at 8:30 pm. <br />June 5, 1972 in the Council Chambers of the The Village of Elk River, Minnesota., to consider <br />the 1972 Street Improvements for the Village of Elk River. Motion unaminously carried by <br />a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the Municipal Liquor Stores Income Statement for the 1st Quarter of <br />the year 1972 with Liquor Store Manager Ernie Thielke in attendance. The Council also <br />discussed the possibility of re-vamping the Off Sale Store into a semi-self service store. <br />Mr. Thielke stated he would obtain some figures as to costs for this improvement. <br /> <br />The Council authorized the Liquor Store to purchase a calutator. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Konop and seconded by Councilman Syring to approve the list of Municipal <br />Liquor store bills for payment as presented. Copy of ' the list is attached. Motion <br />unaminously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />The Council authorized the purchase of a small lawn mower for the Park Department as the <br />hiring of Wayne Becklin. <br /> <br />The Council approved Northwestern Bell Telphone Companies letter dated May 4, 1972 re- <br />questing to bury cable on 8th Street, Watson and Wand Avenues. <br /> <br />Bill Konop presented in behalf of the Eagles Club an application for a Set-Up License <br />the application was referred to the Police Department for their recommendations. ~ <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman otto to increase the Clerk-Treasurers <br />salary to $675.00 per month to be effective May 16, 1972. Motion unaminously carried by <br />a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />The Council discussed the request for sale of beer in Orono Park.
