Members were present as follows: Mayor Bartelt, Councilmen Hudson, Konop, <br />Syring and Otto. Village Attorney ~Tolm l'[acGibbon in attendance. <br /> <br />The minutes of the April 17, 1972 regular meeting ,,{ere mailed. All I:Iembers received <br />and read the minutes their were tvJO correctionsand corrected as follows: spelling of <br />Hr. Brinteson name and Chamber of Commerce corrected to read :rnk HiveI' "TC 'eS as there <br />,'Tere no further correction the minutes were approved ciS corrected. <br /> <br />Mr. Lancette representing a 3l. pcs UN Band met with the Council. Ee proposed setting <br />up I) schedule of summer concerts in the pari: at a fee of $200.00 per concert. After <br />discussion by the C01IDCil it was decided that the County Fair Board would be contacted <br />reg9rding the availablty of any opening in. the Fair BOEirds schedule for a concert. <br />The Clerk-Treasurer wa.s instructed to call I",r. Lancette after this information v;as <br />available. <br /> <br />Rex Oetinger met with the Council regarding two building application he received that <br />would require a variance waiver. He was instructed to contact the applicants c:m <br />inform them that a hearing cost fee of fS25.00 "muld be added to their permit char[~es. <br /> <br />The Clerk-Treasurer ws.s instructed to have ~Tohn HacGibbon Village Attorney draft a <br />letter for Building Inspector Rex Oetinger's signature regarding Noon Realty Permit <br />Number 029 dated 2/21/72 failure to comply with the building code requirements. <br /> <br />The Street COlT'J:1ittee presented their 1972 Street Improvement Program Heport for the <br />Councils review. <br /> <br />~r <br />Hoved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman otto or~ing a preliminary <br />engineering report to be prepared by Village Engineer Bill ~irls on the proposed 1972 <br />Street Improvements to be presented at the Hay 15, 1972 regular meeting. m"tion <br />u,,'1aminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Eoved bv CouncilJJlan Syring 2nd seconded bJr Councilman Otto to approve Northwestern <br />Bell Te'iephone Company requests to b~j cable per their letters dated AII'il 19 and <br />24th 1972. ;"otion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Hoyed by Councilman Ctto and seconded by Councilman Konop authroizing the Village <br />Attorney John }\IacGibbon to proceed in preparing the legal action requirements on the <br />Grover :Malrup property case. l"1otion unaminously cc,rried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />The Council held open discussion on the Intr;:;rceptor Sewer and Sewage Treatment Plant <br />Construction project as to v-That plan of direction the Council 'ltlas going to take. <br />The Council requested the Village Attorney to be in attendance 2>t the l"lay 8, 1972 <br />Elk River To",rn Poard Special ITeeting in referrance to those citizen interested in <br />the Interceptor and Sewage Treatment Plant. <br /> <br />I"oved by Councilman Konop and seconded by COlUlciJJnm1 Hudson to accept and adopt the <br />l'Tinnesota State Traffic Code as presented. Eotion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Noved by CounciL'TIan Syring and seconded by CounciL'TIEm Konop to accept the resolution <br />authroizing the Villa.ges partioipation in the Dram Shop Insurance Study. Copy of the <br />resolution is attached. ITotion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />IVroved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Councilman Konop to accept the plans and <br />specification for the ';:atermain construction for the l'lk Eiver Industrial Park(I:lk River <br />flssociated Investors) dated April 25th 1972 as prepared by Village 1\ngineer Bill filills. <br />
