<br />The regular serrQ-monthly meeting of the Blk River Village Counci\ was called to order <br />by Mayor Bartel~ on Jan. 3, 1972 at 7:30 pm/in the Council Room of the Village Office <br />Building. Hembers were present as follows: Mayor Bartelt and Councilmen Hudson, Syring, <br />I <br />Ctto and Konop. <br /> <br />~The minutes of the Dec. 20, 1971 regular meeting were read. There were no addition or <br />~correctio~ and the minutes were approved as read. <br /> <br />Lloyd Barthel advised the council that the new fire truck, was not equipped with fire hoses! <br />and that the State has specific code requirements. He was instructed to obtain some <br />price quotatio~ for the councils review. <br /> <br />Tom Hellestodt, Jody Gorcke, Julie Larson, Nancy Olson) appeared in regards to Main Tap's <br />set~up license pending whether there was arything that) could be done so that the minors <br />could still, patronize the establishment. V~. Carlson is fixing ~ a recreation room/ <br />in the rear of his place accessible, only by a rear entrance and a Q:Jen window between the <br />tap room. On advise of Council it was suggested/that the set-up license stipulat~the <br />actual footage from front to rear of building to not include the recreation room before <br />a set-up license could be approved. <br /> <br />Lyn Moore, Phil Syles and Don Wille representing the Jaycees donated $50.00 to the <br />Sw~ng Pool Fund. <br /> <br />It was agreeable with the council that Rex Oetinge~ would not have to attend the Bldg. <br />Code Seminar this year) because it was felt that the course of study would only be a <br />review. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Otto to approve Rnd proceed with <br />the plans as presented by Don Kruse Village Draftsma~at the $25.50 cost for reproducing <br />Othe map layouts. l~otion unaminously carried. <br /> <br />Moved by Counci~an Syring and seconded by Councilman Otto to adopt the sale of the <br />~1,015,OOO.OO Electric Revenu$e 1971 Bond. Motion unaminously carried. Copy of <br />the resolution is attached. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Otto to reappoint John MacGibbon <br />as Village Attorney} for the year of 1972 and require his attendance at every regular <br />meeting. Motion ~naminously carried. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Otto and Seconded by Councilman Syring to reappoint} Lloyd Barthel as <br />Fire Chief for the year of 1972. fiotion unaminously carried. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Hudson to reappoint Dr. Sommers <br />as Public Health Officer for the year of 1972. Motion unaminously carried. <br /> <br />Moved by CounciL~an Hudson and seconded by Councilman Konop to reappoint Albert Bailey <br />and Richard Gongoll to a 3 year term on the Planning Con~ssion Board.
