<br />D <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />A-.special meeting of the Elk Hiver Village Council WaS called to order by Hayor <br />Bartelt on Nov. ??, 1971 at 7:30 pm in the Council Hoom of the Village Office <br />Buildingj Hembers were present as follows: :tv18.yor Bartelt and Councilmen Hudson, <br />Syring, Konop and otto. <br /> <br />a Regarding the discharged liquor store employees. John V~c Gibbon, Village Attorney <br />repoi~ted- that the neutrall:trbitrator has ruled that the employees should not have <br />been discharged, because"actual dishonesty was not proven and tb~t it is the courts <br />decision thatOthe three employees involved, receive a ten day suspension. <br /> <br /> <br />The Council instructed the Clerk-Treasurer to draft a letter to the three employees <br />involved, requesting their attendpnce a.t a special meeting scheduled for 9:15pm <br />Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1971 for further discussion on this matter and to notify Fay <br />Frawley, Business Agent for the Bprtenders Union, to meet with the Council at 8:30 pm, <br />prior to the meeting with the discharged employees. <br /> <br />Regarding codificption of the village ordinances. John H'3c Gibbon report that he <br />has set up 20 Ch.<1pters, with each chapter relating to a certain subject matter, <br />Chapters 1 through 10 were reviewed. The review of Chapters 11 through ?O, WaS <br />scheduled foI- our Dec. :::'0, 1971 regular council meeting. <br /> <br />It Was reported that the Village could use a 1000 gallon gaS tank located at the <br />County ga.rage. ~. gaS line would then have to be extended to the North side of the <br />new ffre station lIJhere a pump would be located. Fire Chief Barthel could forsee <br />no problem with this arrangement. Estimated cost for a gas pump and the installation <br />. of the line WAS estima.ted to be between $300 a.nd$400. After discussion, it waS <br />decided that using the county gas tank, WaS not feasible. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Council.m.<n Konop, authorizing expendi- <br />tures -q,pto $750..00 for the cost and installation of a gA.S tank and pump, to be <br />located at the Sewer Disposal Plant. Motion unaminously carried. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman otto~lbo=-bitlU for a public <br />sale of $79,000 Improvement Bonds of 1971, scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 16, 1971 at <br />7:30 pm, in the Council Room of the Village Office Building and authorizing the <br />Clerk-TreAsurer to advertise in the Sherburne County Star News and the Commercial <br />1-Jest Magazine of this bond SIde.
